We are going to play at the biggest open air jazz festival of North Netherlands: "Swinging Groningen". We will play friday 1 september. We've played this festival in 2002 and that was a very nice concert. After 3 month in the top 20 of the lowlands top 25, they removed us (because the rule is to remove an album after 3 month). We are very proud that we were in the list all the time, that we have been in the top ten for more than 10 weeks highest place: 2. In the last week we reached place 3. So a stunning result. (unknown talent) This is a very important and famous site from the government broadcasting station (3 FM) here in Holland (like the BBC in England). Soul Vaccination played at "de grote markt", the main place of our hometown Groningen, during the queens night. It was crowded (they say there might be 20.000 people). What a kick !!!!. We played more than 75 minutes at the end of the evening. It was smashing. (30 april 2006).

The new album is played in "The Soul Show" by Ferry Maat. We are so proud. Especially cause this really famous national show is specialized in very expensive american soul productions. It is "the" soul program of Holland for more then 20 years!!!. Broadcasted by "Radio Veronica". And we didn't do a thing. Ferry Maat was interested because a fan of his show noticed Soul Vaccination. The last CD presentation is the official one. In a new place in Groningen called "de Pudding". Very trendy and modern place. It's on a Sunday evening so we don't know how many people will show up. Fortunately the place is crowded, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Very nice last presentation that gives the band the right spirit to go on. We sold a lot of CD's and that is off course what it's all about. We honored that evening Arjen Snijder and his staff for their graphical job. Bert Kamping, Marike Scheepers and Stanley Medema, cause they all players on our CD. (12 feb 2006)

The third CD presentation is at the Kaatsland Jazz festival in Sneek. Very nice, Soul Vaccination is the main act on the evening. That is always big fun. The band played very well, which is quite logical cause it's the third gig this week. (11 feb 2006)

The main newspaper of the North of Holland ("Dagblad v/h Noorden) published a big article about our new CD in all of their editions (interview Martin Groenewold). On the culture page. Big photo's and an interview with Marco Kerver. Very nice story, and very nice reactions on the story. There are a lot of people reacting on the article, so new radio contacts and interviews and some people that are interested in live appearances of the band (10 feb 2006)

The second presentation is on our "house stage" Jazzcafe the Spieghel in Groningen. In spite of the "late" playing time (2330) a very big audience pays the band a visit. From the first note till the last note the place is crowded. Unfortunately the sound is crab, and the amount of Cd's sold is a disappointment for the band. They expected more support from "their" public. (In fact it's a bloody shame)(9 feb 2006)

The Album gets a lot of airplay. We are guest in a lot of local radio shows on several stations. (e.g. Radio Fryslan, Radio Drenthe, Radio Emmen and more). Even the pirates of "our" regional station Radio Noord played our Radio Edit. (after a history of discussion, because they think that our album don't fit in there music profile !!!!, In a way that's is a very big compliment for our music) (from 5 feb 2006 on)

First CD Presentation in Amsterdam. We want revenge for the last presentation 3 years ago. That evening (november 2002) a flying storm blew over Holland. There was a so called "weather alarm"!!. But this time there were a lot of people in "de Heeren van Aemstel". So the evening was a success, in spite of the illness of our Trombone player Arend. He was to sick to play unfortunately.
